Child slavery in food production
Slavery is a global problem, so we all have to do our part to help end it!

01

donating to a charity will help provide the funding needed to help prevent and aid those associated with the slave trade, even a spare $20 could help somebody on their way to freedom!

02

Check companies and buy second hand!

reusing old cloths effectively stops the money you would have spent on the item from going to the slaveholders pocket, if enough of us stop buying exploitative products and start buying fare trade, it will force companies to treat workers more fairly! Apps such as  Free2work App helps you to identify the fair trade companies.

03

Be well informed!

Set 'human trafficking' and 'slavery' alerts on your laptop or phone for news articles and new statistics and averages realised by the WHO (world health organisation)and the Department of Health and Human Services. If you are informed, you are able to educate the people around you and the more people are educated, the more are ready to help!

04

Go on marches!

Around the world their are organisations that organise and hold non-violent protests and marches. Marches and rallies help to rase awareness about important causes in a public environment and can show parliaments and government officials how seriously the public views the issue. A simple google search can show various options for marches and rallies.

05

Buy food locally!

Buying food that was produced locally helps to insure that farmers and producers are payed fair wages. Products like chocolate, sugar, chicken, and prawns are all commonly produced by slavery. By purchasing  these products by local or national farmers, this helps to provide fair pay for farmers.
